With reverence for the land, Sunshine Sacred Sanctuary was established through the prompting of Spirit and the Aina Herself. This beautiful piece of land is the healer, and has been guiding us to create a space of refugee and healing for people to gather.

When Spirit calls you, it’s time to listen. An important part of living in Hawai’i is listening to the powerful energy that moves through these lands and people, and responding in kind. When Sunshine Bradshaw came to Hawaii she wasn’t expecting to open a retreat center, but through the power of synchronicity she was guided to this land, and has been devoted to listening to it ever since.

One of the amazing things about hosting a retreat at Sunshine Sacred Sanctuary is that you have the profound privilege and opportunity to explore of the most special places on Earth!

Home of the Merry Monarch Festival, the Hawaiian Sovereignty Movement and important cultural sites, Big Island is a powerful place to learn about and support the Native Hawaiian people and their culture.

From the aina (land) to the people of the land (Kanaka Maoli) and their culture of Aloha (unconditional love and respect), Hawai’i is a one of a kind gem full of a rich history, living culture, and transformative spiritual energy.

Home to the most active volcano in the world Kilauea, and the tallest mountain from sea level Mauna Kea, and 13 distinct climate zones, Big Island is an ecological treasure!

From lava powered hot ponds, to glacier fresh pools, and beautiful oceans with honu (turtles), naia (dolphins), and kohala (whales), there are rich watery worlds to explore.

In equal parts relaxation, rest, peace, adventure, fun, healing, growth and transformation, Big Island is a powerful place to remember who you are on a soul level and kick start new directions in your life.
